Battery Disposal Procedure

Batteries must be disposed
of properly. If you have replaced a dead battery with a
new one, select one of the following methods to dispose of the dead
battery.
Call your local department of waste management or pollution control
agency.
Ask them how to contact a local hazardous material recycling company.
Call the Portable Rechargeable Battery Association (PRBA) at: (770)
612-8826.
They will give you the information you need for proper battery
recycling/disposal.
Send dead Toshiba batteries back to us and we will properly dispose of
them.
If you're sending us 50 batteries or less, follow these guidelines.
1. Discharge all batteries fully.
2. Box them up in a way that they will not come in contact with each
other or short
circuit. You can individually wrap them in plastic or separate them and
cover the
terminals with nonconductive tape.
Clearly mark the box with the contents:
10 NiCd and 15 NiMH batteries for recycling.
Address the box as follows:
