Lamar county is
located in North East Texas and is bounded by the Red river to the North, and
the North Sulphur river to the South. Paris is the county seat. Other
towns include Blossom, Brookston, Chicota, Cunninham, Deport, Pattonville,
Petty, Powderly, Reno, Roxton, and Sumner. This county is home to Pat
Mayse State Park and Camp Maxey Military Reserve. County employment is
