Tennessee
is one of the South-Central states of the United States of America, it
is popularly known as the Big Bend State, the Volunteer State,
the Lion's Den State, and the Mother of Southwestern Statesmen.
Tennessee has more states touching its borders than any other state
except Missouri. On one side of the state are the highest mountain
peaks east of the Rockies; on the other are the bottomlands of the
Mississippi, subject to its bounty and to its destructive floods.
